Sand Springs Home Family Village applicants must be widowed, divorced, or single with legal custody of two or more school-age or younger children and must demonstrate financial need.
Due to our family-style cottage environment, we are unable to accommodate children exhibiting violent or aggressive behavior, engaging in sexual acting out, or unable to participate in a public school setting.
Women in the program are required to actively work towards improving their lives by pursuing education or employment.
Participants in the program are expected to prioritize their children's well-being by ensuring they are well cared for, attending school, and have proper childcare arrangements while the parent is at work or school. Maintaining these standards is crucial for continued participation in the program.
Maintaining a clean and orderly apartment and adhering to program guidelines are essential for continued residency.
The Sand Springs Home operates with no charge for rent or utilities. Cable television, telephone, and WiFi are the responsibility of the residents.
The length of stay is determined on a individual basis with each family in care. Some women can stay until their youngest child turns 18.
